Blood tests:
Please make an appointment with the doctor first so that we can ensure the appropriate tests are done. Results are provided by text or phone call. If you have not received results within 2 weeks please contact the surgery.
Repeat prescriptions:
Please allow 48 hours notice
Antenatal (pregnancy) care:
Free for all women who register with the HSE scheme.
Childhood immunisations:
Free for all children
Contraception services including:
Contraceptive pills/ patches
Depo-provera injection
Implanon insertion and removal
Intrauterine device insertion and removal (Mirena, Kyleena and Copper IUD)
Cervical screening:
Free for all women aged 25 - 65
Chronic Disease Management programme:
6 monthly visits for those with a medical card or Doctor visit card aged 65 and over with type 2 diabetes, asthma, COPD, heart failure, ischaemic heart disease, stroke or TIA and atrial fibrillation.
Cryotherapy (freezing treatment) often covered by health insurance
Travel vaccinations and health advice. Please note this is not covered by the medical card
Joint injections - often covered by health insurance
24 hour blood pressure monitor
ECG
Please note that the medical card and Doctor visit card do not cover the following:
Courier charge for blood and urine samples (5 euro charge or you can transport them if you choose)
Driver licence medicals
Travel consultations and travel vaccinations
Employment and insurance medicals
